Held in the VanHuysen Community Room at the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center, our movies begin at 10:30am. Enjoy coffee, breakfast pastries and popcorn while you watch. Pizza will be served after the movie. Advance reservations are required; for more information and to register, call the Senior Programs Office at 248-6235. Salmon Fishing in the Yemen – March 2

Reservations required by Tuesday, February 28. Seniors, join us on Thursday, March 2 for a free morning movie matinee featuring Salmon Fishing in the Yemen – a charming romantic drama with strong acting performances. Have a light breakfast, enjoy the film, then stay afterward for pizza! 

Visionary Sheikh Muhammed bin Zaida bani Tihama (Amr Waked) believes his passion for the peaceful pastime of salmon fishing can enrich the lives of his people, and he dreams of bringing the sport to the not so fish-friendly desert. Britan’s leading fisheries expert Dr. Alfred Jones (Ewan McGregor) and businesswoman Harriet Chetwode-Talbot (Emily Blunt) are brought together for this improbable project, along with the British Prime Minister's overzealous press secretary, Patricia Maxwell (Dame Kristin Scott Thomas). Will this unlikely team prevail in an upstream journey of faith and fish to prove the impossible is possible?

The movie begins at 10:30am in the VanHuysen Community Room at the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center; enjoy coffee, breakfast pastries and popcorn while you watch. Pizza will be served after the movie.
