2023 Town Community Events


May 11 | History of Major Tournaments at Oak Hill
6:30pm at the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center
A program in collaboration with Historic Pittsford, presented by Oak Hill Historian Fred Beltz. Mr. Beltz will discuss the history of major tournaments held at Oak Hill Country Club. The event is free and open to the public but registration is required. Register online here or visit the Historic Pittsford website at www.historicpittsford.com.


May 13 |  Kid's Trout Fishing Derby
9:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Powder Mills Park, Pittsford Rotary event.


May 17 |  PGA in Pittsford Family Night 
5:30 PM – 9 PM at the Municipal Parking Lot behind the Library
6:30 PM concert by Shine
9:00 PM fireworks
Community celebration featuring family activities, games, mini-golf, food trucks, Thirsty’s Hospitality Tent with beer and wine, putting green and a beer tasting at Canandaigua National Bank. Concert by Shine begins at 6:30pm, fireworks over the canal at 9:00pm. Admission is free; food and drink is available for purchase. Open to the public.


May 27 |  Paddle and Pour
12:00 AM – 10 PM at North Main Street
Our first festival of the season each year, founded in 2015. Enjoy craft beer and wine from upstate breweries and vineyards, live music all day, and browse the work of regional artists and artisans. Experience great food from local eateries and visit unique canalside shops. And be sure to catch the exciting competition of the Annual Pittsford Regatta. May 29 |  Memorial Day Parade and Ceremony
10:00 AM – Pittsford Village
Traditional patriotic parade through the Village center honoring those who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country and recognizing our veterans and those serving in the armed services, featuring a variety of marching bands and community groups; memorial service held after the parade at Pittsford Cemetery to honor the fallen. Find complete info on our Memorial Day webpage. Join the Pittsford Community at this year’s Memorial Day Parade. Watch the parade as it steps off Sutherland Street and progresses down Jefferson Road to South Main Street. The parade concludes on Washington Street at the Pittsford Cemetery. Immediately following the parade we welcome you to attend a Memorial Ceremony at the Soldiers Plot. Join us after the ceremony for an open house at American Legion Post 899, 21 North Main Street. Refreshments will be served.


June 3 |  Meet the Machines
10:00 AM – 12:00 PM Spiegel Pittsford Community Center
There are many machines – plow trucks, construction machinery, emergency service vehicles and more – that work to keep our town running safely and smoothly. Join us at the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center this Saturday, June 3 from 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM and meet them close up! This is a free family-friendly event open to all, registration is not required. Please stop by! The Spiegel Pittsford Community Center is located at 35 Lincoln Avenue.


Jun 9 |  Summer Concert Series ∗
6:30 PM – Pittsford Mendon and Sutherland Jazz Ensembles (Jazz)
Food available for purchase onsite from Harladay Hots.
Free annual concert series along the canal in Carpenter Park at the Port of Pittsford Park on Friday evenings June 9 – August 25 (no concert June 30), featuring a variety of musical styles throughout the season; open to the public, food vendor on site. Port of Pittsford Park includes a band pavilion and amenities for boaters – potable water, electrical hookups and additional dock space.

MOVIE: Puss in Boots: The Last Wish (PG)
Movie starts at dark at Sutherland High School
Power’s Farm Market (kettle corn) and Kona Ice (shaved ice) will be at all four movies.
Enjoy an old fashioned movie experience on our giant outdoor movie screen on Thursday evenings after sunset (July 13, July 27, August 10 and August 24) at Sutherland High School Fields. Bring your chairs and blankets and have a great time with the family! Food vendors on site.

Free annual concerts at the Spiegel Pittsford Community Center three Wednesday evenings (July 19, August 2 and August 16), featuring great interactive music and fun for the whole family; open to the public, food vendor on site. The Spiegel Pittsford Community Center is located at 35 Lincoln Avenue in Pittsford.

6:30 PM – Bad Sneakers (Steely Dan Tribute Band)

Sept 9 |  Pittsford Food Truck & Music Fest
12:00 – 9:00 PM on South Main Street between State Street and Locust Street.
The town’s last big event of the season featuring delicious food from a variety of regional food trucks and local eateries and great music all day, plus carnival rides and plenty of games and activities. Held on Main Street, from the Four Corners (Monroe/State streets) to Locust Street; fireworks over the canal. Admission is free and food is available for purchase; open to the public.


Oct 22 |  Family Halloween Fest
2:00 – 5:00 PM, Spiegel Pittsford Community Center
Our family-friendly Halloween party with crafts, games, prizes, refreshments, and indoor and outdoor activities. Open to the public, admission is one canned good item per person to benefit the Pittsford Food Cupboard.


Nov 11 |  Veterans Day
11:00 AM, Veterans Monument, Carpenter Park at Port of Pittsford, 22 N. Main Street: an American Legion event.
This annual ceremony honoring all those in our armed services who serve, or have served, our country takes place on Veterans Day at the Veterans Monument in Carpenter Park at the Port of Pittsford, 22 North Main Street. The public is welcome and encouraged to attend this moving tribute, which includes a presentation of colors, the placement of wreaths, a rifle salute and the playing of Taps. A reception, also open to the public, follows at the American Legion Post, 21 North Main Street.


TBD |  Candlelight Night 
A Pittsford Chamber of Commerce annual holiday celebration featuring horse-drawn wagon rides, carolers, visits with Santa, Mrs. Claus and the Grinch, live music and the lighting of the Village Christmas trees. Many merchants offer holiday treats and special sale items as well. Time, date and details to be confirmed; usually held the first Tuesday in December.


TBD |  Candlelight Night Pub Crawl
Toast the season with a "spirited" stoll through your favorite pubs in Pittsford Village. A Pittsford Chamber of Commerce event. Time, date and details to be confirmed; usually held the first Tuesday in December.
